Default New to Carolina Hondas

Hello everyone!

I've finally decided to sign up for this forum.

I'm an automotive enthusiast at heart. I can't say I'm a "fanboy" of any particular brand, but I do love a variety of vehicles... Porsches, Jeeps, things with a v8 swap or turbo, and most especially Hondas.

I have a 1992 EG-VX that has been wonderful with the daily duty. Unfortunately, it's going to be decommissioned from street worthiness and going to be track prep'd. A friend of mine has an H22 with matching LSD transmission. I've already gone through the chassis and replaced all the bushings with energy suspension. It's sitting on fully adjustable Koni suspension, new ball joints, tie rods, you name it! Suspension is fresh!

I have a Corvette that is just too expensive on track day consumables. That's not to say I won't continue to take it out, but I'm in love with how pocket friendly the HPDE and track day civic is going to be.

Since I lost my current DD, I picked up a Toyota Tercel (1986 wagon) to try something new and different. What I should have picked up was a 90-91 civic RT4WD. So, if anyone has a relatively clean RT4WD for sale, hit me up!

I'm in the Raleigh area, so don't be shy. I have a spare D16y8 and Saab Aero Turbo sitting around that has been tempting me for a turbo swap. I forsee missing my EG hatch, so I'll likely build a modest 200-225whp turbo build for my DD needs in the future That will take priority after I get the RT4WD though (I need a 4 door for occasional people hauling).

I'm out of town until around June, but I will be stripping out the 92 EG-VX later this summer. If you are in search of something, let me know and I'll try to save what I can. The D15 motor is running strong, though it's showing signs of wear. Compression check is around 105 for each cylinder, so it's a little low. I'll pull it later this summer and maybe donate it to someone on the forum who's in need. More to follow!

Cheers! I look forward to this awesome community's wealth of knowledge and Honda Spirit!
