Hey guys
I have an 87 prelude si W/2.0 single cam. It is track only. I was wondering what kind of mods I could do for better handling and max power. as of now its pretty much stock it has a Pacesetter header and grude cam.

what kinda track? and what kind of budget? start off with I/H/E (intake, header, exhaust). As of suspension, what kind of track, and is this going to be a DD car?

no not a dd if its circle track car..and what are the rules..cause most STOCK car or fwd have to be in a stock form?.
as stated intake exhuast are good starters. when i raced i bored the motor put a little larger cam and got my intake mani ported. also ran race gas.. as far as handling i ran basically slicks with two groves.
couple tricks for handling are
larger sway bars
stiff suspension
mess with air pressure in tires.
soak tires in vht..lol very illegal
change the camber lean the right front tire in.. holds car down track..
good luck..
o hidden nitrous bottle in radiator..small shot.. works wonders.

It a 4/10th mile paved Tri Oval supposed to be stock 4 Cly class we run falken azena tires I have as much camber as i can get so far in both front tires. like I said I have a cam in and a header so far. budget is not a real problem. But as some have said if you ain't cheating you ain't trying. I dont want to get to crazy tho

how strict are they with these? People protest cars often?

ik when my step dad used to be in a pit crew the winner had to let them tare down the block and make sure its was stock bore and such.

in a small town just good fun racing there not going to "tare" down a stock car ... exp a efi car with alot of wiring.
theres alot of ways to win with cheating..pm me and ill help you do that..but whats the fun of wining when knwing your cheating all the time...
everyone has the same cars motor around horse power weight..some times its the driver that needs the extra skills...

i think if people get in trouble on this site for talking about street racing and shit, they should also for talking about cheating and shift at track events, like seriously? its put into different divisions so the races are fair, so the judgement is solely skill, thats sad that you think cheating is sooo cool at track events, and even sader that the mods allow you to have threads about it.
