Question 507M Tilt sensor

Sensor 2
506T Audio sensor

Sensor 3
508D Dual-Zone Radar sensor

Originally I was going to have a 507M in
Sensor 3, but I decided to add 508D Dual-Zone Radar sensor to that sensor input.

I now need to manually add the 507M Tilt sensor; does the set-up below look OK:

507M Tilt sensor
BLUE to H2/6 VIOLET/BLACK (-) Channel 4 Output (diode needed???)
ORANGE to H1/12 ORANGE (-) 500 mA Ground-When-Armed Output
RED tap 520T RED +12v ConstantInput (15A fused)

OR

Should I just leave out the 506T Audio sensor completely and just do 508D and 507M?

Thanks!!

I would eliminate the 508D.

They are mainly used in soft top vehicles.

unless you have custom paint that you want to warn people away from i wouldnt use the 508d....... it will prewarn alot. use the glass and tilt. if you want the 508d type of protection use the 509u instead. you can also name the sensor inputs on the 5002 with a bit writer so the correct icons on the remote show up when triggered.

"BLUE to H2/6 VIOLET/BLACK (-) Channel 4 Output (diode needed???)"

NO

the blue on the tilt is an output that needs to go to a trigger input on the brain. the blue and green wires on the 2 sensor inputs can be used as 1 input per wire if you like so you can hook it to one of these wires. basically 2 ports, 4 inputs. i hope that made sense i just got home from a block party and im slightly drunk.........werd

Question area of confusion

1998 Honda Civic EX Sedan 5-Speed
Viper 5002 alarm system

Everything is ready for the install starting tomorrow morning. Looking over my notes there is an area of confusion.

Is this correct?
520T Battery Backup Module
RED .. (15A fuse 12” from power source) to 12V Constant [18 gauge wire]
GRAY (+) 12V Output - to Viper (+) 12V Constant (should there be a 15A inline fuse here?)
BLACK .. GROUND to Chassis
BLUE (-) Output to Control Module - tap H2/2 GREY (-) Hood Pin Input, Zone 6 (22 gauge) (Is this correct? Isolate this?)

On CauseForAlarm I read "...Cut the alarm's red power wire an inch before the fuse and connect it to the backup module's gray wire." Why do this if the Backup Battery Module's GRAY wire connects here anyway, and a fuse is called for in Backup Battery Module's instructions??

Is it OK to extend the Antenna wires?? I'm mounting it in the center of the windshield, and wire will not reach the brain.

Alarm in installed, but have a few issues:

1. 507M Tilt Sensor is reporting as Trunk on remote. I did do a Diode Isolate.

2. Blue light does not work. I had to extend it, and I used solid 22g wire. Would this matter?
Thanks.

Tilt sensor on trunk is fine. No biggie.

Maybe the LED wires are backwards?

No, I checked the wires.

I should be able to test the light with a power tool 12v battery? I am hoping the issue is not on the brain side!!

I think the LED is a 3 or 5 volt unit.

If you hook 12 volts to it, expect it to die.

My bad, I had it plugged into the Valet plug. Works now.

Going through the final check, everything looks good so far.

Questions:
1. Is it possible to change Tilt to show Tilt icon on remote, instead of the Trunk icon?
2. Is it possible to change the 506T Audio to show Glass Break icon on remote, instead of just the number "7" on remote?

Problem:
Feature 2-10 Comfort Closure does not work. Windows do not close when alarm is armed.

Thanks.

the tilt input has to be ran into one of the 2 sensor inputs on the side of the brain, then programmed for the correct icon on the remote.

comfort closure is not possible on your car. what you would need to do would be add a 530t for the windows and a 529t for the sunroof if you want them to close when you arm it.
