Default Best clutch/Flywheel for d16y8

Sup ch. Im getting ready to tear down the tranny in my 96 ex coupe and want some opinions on what i should go with for the rebuild. My main input shaft bearing is going bad so i figure while im changing that i might as well do some upgrades while the trannys out for boost.

Im trying to figure out what the best clutch/flywheel combo would be for a dd. I have plans on boosting it in the coming weeks so i want something that will hold up for a while. Ive been looking at a exedy stage 1 with a fidonza 12lb flywheel.
Also what seals/bearing should be changed while the trannys out?
Any ideas,input?

Try having a stage 4 unsprung 6puck in your daily driver lol. My left calve is huge!! I have had good luck with Excedy clutches, bad luck with clutchmasters.

As for flywheel just keep it stock and have your's resurfaced. Lightweight flywheels dont do much other then make the car rev quicker, but just like lightweight crank pulleys they are known to eat bearings. Your motor is balanced from the factory, you start messing with the balancing of things and nothing good will come from it.

Haha yeah it was pretty insane. Best part was I was the only one that knew how to drive the fucking thing. None of my buddies could even get it moving without it stalling

i'd say if your buying a new clutch go ahead and go over board a little so that you have room for more power in the future. i have an ACT xtreme pressure plate with compclutch 4 puck sprung. works great for me daily driven

Unless you have toothpicks for legs you will be fine. I DD a ACT heavy duty pp and ACT sprung 6 puck combo and it's fine as a DD. I will always have this setup from now on I absolutley love it.
