Default Identifying Head

My head has the following attributes, i just want to know for sure what it EXACTLY is to make sure.

Year: 93 Stamped
Casting Code: PR3-4
Intake manifold says P30 on the rear

Is this just a 93 B16A Head? Thats what i've thought it was this whole time, I just want a good verification. I was thinking maybe its a B16A3 or something off a Delsol, but they didnt make DOHC VTEC del sol's in 93 did they? It started in 94 correct?

that is correct, however you need to keep in mind that car are actually manufactured prior to the year model they are! a 94 Del Sol VTEC would have actually been manufactured prolly Aug 1993 to be release as a 1994 model!

Were there B16A2's in 94? Or just B16A3's? Im thinkin its probably a USDM head so thats why im trying to figure it out. The block is a B16A2 from a delsol, so i really didnt think someone put a B16A head on it... Never know though

b16a3 is in del sols...

a2 is an si motor.

a1.. not sure.

b16a2's did not come in del sols from the factory...

and like it was said the b16a3's would have been made in 93 because for example and 09 honda s2000 will be on the lot in late 2008... like august or sept i believe?

they make them the year before and put them on the market months before, so a 94 del sol with a b16a3 would have been MADE in 93. but why would they stamp the motor for when it was made and not what year car it was going in..?

anyways

There IS b16a2 delsols. It'd seem highly unlikely to have a 99-00 OBD2 Block on a 93-94 OBD1 head wouldnt it. (its possible tho)

Also called Honda Civic del Sol
Production 1992–1997
Predecessor Honda CR-X
Successor Honda Insight
Class Sport compact
Engine(s) D15B7 1.5L 102 hp I4

D16Z6 1.6L 125 hp (93 kW) I4 B16A3 1.6L 160 hp (120 kW) I D16Y7 1.6L 106 hp (79 kW) I4 D16Y8 1.6L 127 hp (95 kW) I4 B16A3 1.6L 160 hp (120 kW) I4 1994-1996 OBD1 B16A2 1.6L 160 hp (120 kW) I4 1996-1997 OBD2

And also

B16A2/3 1.6L USDM DOHC VTEC 93-97 DelSol VTEC/99-00 Civic Si 160hp
B16A2 Honda Civic SiRII (JDM) 1992-1995
B16A2 Honda Civic Si 1999-2000

http://www.superhonda.com/tech/honda_engine_codes.html

And everytime ive bought parts from advanced or autozone or anything for it, ive always bought the parts for a "94 Del sol VTEC" and it also said "B16A3, B16A2" on the side notes

if all this information i've seen is incorrect, then how can i identify the block's year? that would tell me alot right there
