Default Autocross tire recommendation

I am driving a 1987 CRX that was previously run in ITC class of SCCA. The car is to be used for autocross events. The vehicle came with several sets of old, worn-out Hoosier tires, 225/60R13 and 205/60R13. I am seeking recommendations for tires. The vehicle will be trailered to the events so no highway driving is needed.
Currently I am considering Toyo Proxes R888 or Toyo Proxes RR tires in 205/60R13 size.
What are your recommendations for a 13 inch autocross tire for a light CRX?

Sounds like you already have a good handle on some good tires, those are the specialty ones I would recommend these over just any high performance tire you can find at a regular tire shop. The Hoosier would be the ones to go with if this wont see the streets, it is more a truer racing tire. No compromise to the design to make it to be streetable race-like tire. Hope that push you in the right direction to take home the win at the events!

Default Track Night on new tires

I purchases a set of Toyo Proxes tires. I put R888R's on the front and R888's on the read. (The distributor only had 1 pair of R888's that I originally ordered so I had to order a pair of R888R.) Took the car to the SCCA Track Night in America at Atlanta Motorsport Park last Thursday. New tires and my first time on a race track. The results were very good. Running 42 psi in the front and 35 psi in the rear was a good balance until I gained confidence and was braking later going into turn 10, down hill left hander. The back end would slip out at that point. Next time I will increase the rear tire pressure to 37 psi and see how that performs.
