Default TCS Automotive's All Motor EG Drag Build

We started this build back in the fall of 2012. We decided that we wanted to build a NA setup and give our local guys some competition. What started out as a small build went wild and turned into a full drag car. We have spent the last year piecing everything together to make this car come together. I will give a brief run down of the setup, then jump right into the pics. This list will be updated as we go, as there are still a couple items that we dont have. I will also update each time we install a new part onto the engine/trans/car etc. The next updates should be this Friday when our cage materials come in.

Thanks to our sponsors thus far Brian Crower, Darton, CP, Turn14, RLZ, Skunk2, Comp Clutch, Injector Dynamics, Kingpin, Ktuned, Fab Camacho, Franks Fiberglass & Carbon Fiber, Belak Industries, Scott Clark Honda and those still to come on board.

The chassis

So we got her inside and decided that she needed to go on a diet and this is what we got so far.

The bay was our first area of interest on the car. It had been media blasted 6years prior and had just sat rusting away outside since. Time to change all that and make use of this beautiful shell. Here comes the engine bay transformation.

After getting the bay transformed we wanted to go ahead and start the wire tuck. We use all mil spec fire proof loom, and supplies.

Now on to the suspension. We had a few sets of Blox Drag Coilovers left, and decided to use one.

Here is a teaser of the paint for the exterior

We got a new crossmember and cleaned up the stock rack and sprayed it fresh black

Kingpin goodies to help stiffen everything up.

Now onto the engine and trans. We got a large amount of our parts in back in the winter of 2012. It started out looking like this.

On to assembling the engine. Decided to check the deck height to ensure I wasnt going to have any issues lol

Time to clay this bad boy with headgasket #1

On to the head. Time to slap all the goodies in it and bolt her down for claying.

We had some TWM 52mm ITBs on her for a few months till we got our Kinslers in. Check out the difference in a 52mm vs a 64mm.

Here is everything getting test fitted before the engine gets cleaned and painted.

So I took most everything back off, and prepped then primed and painted the block and trans.

We waited a month or two and then our K-Tuned order came in. It included a lot of goodies. Here is everything out for a pic.

This was prob the largest chunk of $$ in our project...and it fit in such a small box lol. Our Dog box trans. We were excited to see this box and its contents.

Going back to the car. Got the seat, seat cover and drag wing in. Here are some pics of those not perm mounted yet.

Time to grab my clutch off the shelf before installing it
