Are people too sensitive?

So, I work at Costco and yesterday I saw about 30 toy dolls in the back by the return to vendor area ready to go back to the manufacturer. I remember these dolls being out on the floor, they are all little baby girls with a pink outfit, a pet monkey, and a pink beanie that says “little monkey.” There were three different types, black babies, Hispanic babies, and white babies, all three races are completely identical other than their race. So Costco pulled them all off the shelf because members were complaining about the black babies beanies saying “little monkey.” WTF??? Are we as Americans devolving? Are people just too sensitive? Or have we regressed back to a time where people would take offense to something like this which has no meaning other than a cute saying? I don’t understand, if only the black baby’s beanies said it, I would understand but all three races had them…

I know I’m just venting but does anyone else think this is totally ridiculous? I know that racism still exists and that people can take offense to many different things, but this is absurd!

I looked around and found some truley racist toys that I'll share.

my only thought is that racism exist because people allow it to.
the problem with society is everyone wants a main stream hush hush.
everyone wants to be in the know, but not a part of the cause.
the plush toys will end up in a flea market somewhere where some normal kids can enjoy them.

racism is a fact.

people are crazy is a fact.

only a man can laugh off someone that is ignorant. < fact

i hate white people < fact.

I agree, I think that the majority of people like those in question create racism.

I could say this is racist since the doll is white, even though not all white people are trailer trash. Instead I laugh it off...
