Default How To: Find out the offset on your wheels

What you need:
Wheels
Measuring Tape
In. to MM. Converter (URL Located Below)
__________________________________________________ ________

First off get you wheels together

Remove the centercap from your wheel if it's there

Lay your wheel down on a flat surface

Find out the size of your wheel

Stick the measuring tape through your centercap hole. Find the measurement where the measuring tape meets the bottom of the wheel. Here it is 4 and 5/8th's.

The formula to find your offset will be:

#1: Take your wheel width and divide it in half. (Example 8in wide = 4 inch)
#2: Take your measurement and subtract it by the number above. (Example 4 5/8 - 4 = 5/8th)
#3: Take the remaining fraction and convert it to mm. (5/8 = 15mm = +15 offset)

[Now if you come with with negative number on #2 you offset will be negative]

In this case my wheel size is 16x8. My measurement was 4 5/8th so I substract 4 5/8th from 4 which is half my wheel width and I get left with 5/8th and after I convert that it is 15mm so I have a +15 offset.

Also both of my wheels spin at the same direction and speed, someone told me that this means I have a aftermarket diff, is this true?
