Lightbulb Re: Wake Up, del Sol Lovers

so worked on the car last weekend...got the headlights in, but ran into a problem with the lip. It fit, kinda, but there wasn't anywhere to screw the lip to the bumper. Basically it attached at the sides and was able to stretch it to line up on the bumper, but the there was no plastic to screw into from the lip to bumper (hard to explain without pics) so we left it off...thought about making some brackets or glue and caulk, but I didn't want to mess up my bumper. So I'll probably look for another lip...this one sucks (got what i payed for there) The headlights look okay...there's a bit of a gap...but overall I'm happy...now it looks like I need some clear bumper reflectors, the orange ones just don't flow...lemme know what you fellow solers think...

Looks pretty nice!

There is a How-To for installing the lip on www.teamdelsol.com under Information / How-To / Install a Civic front lip. It has some stuff about the screws and where to place them... if your lip has the pre-drilled holes in it. It also tells how to line it up. It's for the 92-95 lip... so it might be different on yours.

Thanks!
yea, my lip didn't have any holes, and if it did, they still probably wouldn't line up...I might try a '92-'95 lip next tho from the site they mentioned. I've bought a couple of things from ebay with no worries...this is the first thing I've gotten that wasn't quite right...like I said earlier, you get what you pay for...thanks for the tip tho!

yea actually the fit was fine. From wheel well to wheel well the length was good and i could stretch it to line up with the paint line pretty well, the problem was, there wasn't any mounting holes or material even to screw into from the lip to the bumper. ebay cheapie :thumbdown

I'm not certain... I'm really thinking that they are interchangeable, but you would have to check to be sure. I can;t be sure, but i seem to remember someone talking about putting the Y8 manifold on a Z6.

What year/model/engine is your del Sol? I was thinking you were talking about the Z6, but I have no clue about the d15 model... and if it's a 96 or 97, then then it's probably a Y7 or Y8 anyway (which both should fit a Y8 manifold)... unless its a B-series, in which case I'm pretty sure it won't work.
