personal preference for sure. ill let you hear mine when you are in town to see what you think. i know the bass wont impress you but it sounds great for what im going for. plus i bet you can close your eyes and pinpoint center stage where lead vocals are.

ill have 200-300w per midbass, 125w to each tweeter and 125w to each midrange once i get a second amp to power. (looking for a class a/b higher end amp that makes 200-300wpc on a 2ch or a 4ch bridged isnt cheap and im picky)

also when i did my TA on the HU. it flattened my xovers. My 2 5/8 mid was getting full signal down to 80hz at 125wpc. I didnt realize it until i had it cranked. They survived. At least I know theyre rugged but I would have cried if I popped one considering their current price and availability.

got my second amp! going to have to do some re arranging. think im going to do a false floor and mount them under with pull outs so they can be shown off.

Picked up an elite.4

going to use the 4 to do 150x4(actual 180x4 haha) to the tweeters and midrange, and bridge the channels on the elite.5 to give the midbass 300wx2.

Should have plenty of "headroom" plus I love matching amps and equipment in general

now that ive had everything installed for a little while ive got a few impressions:

first off, i need to finish my sound deadening in the doors. The rods for the door lock rattle and vibrate horribly. The door panels themselves make a shit ton of noise as well on certain songs.

My stage is so high on the dash/windshield you cant tell that the midbass are even playing because of how well it blends, unless you turn them off or there are some punchy kick drums or bass guitar that rattle the shit out of the door panels.

the sound is clean and non fatiguing to the point where ill keep turning it up, not realizing how loud it actually is until i turn it off and have ringing in my ears. It can get loud enough that I cant listen to it, and I like my music loud, and itll do it without any audible distortion.

heres a couple pics i snapped with my phone this morning since ive been lazy and havent done any pic updates in a while.

P99 head unit with the Phoenix gold voltage display(showing exactly what the amp is getting) along with the PG bass knob(which is THE BEST one ive ever used, it also has a clip indicator LED that will flash as the amp starts to clip)

My 2 5/8 pioneer ts-062prs midrange on the dash, doubling for tweeter work as well currently(dont make fun of my temp pods). The sundown sd-2 8 stuffed under the glove box(dont mind the wire, I havent messed with hiding it yet)
