With times like they are now, not everyone can afford to fork out that cash to buy a decent alarm system. Yet, they still should be able to keep their vehicles safe from the thieves of the world. Heres is a How to, that will allow you to sleep a little bit easier. Although this is a good way to de-ter thieves I would still reccomend getting a full security system when the funds are available. This should only cost you about $8 dollars max.
What youll need.
- Aftermarket CD player (kenwood, sony, alpine, pioneer, ect)
- 2 relays
- 1 diode
- 8 female wire connectors
- 6 four inch pieces of 16-18 guage wire (preferably different colors)
- 2 five inch pieces of 12 guage wire
- 1 twelve to eighteen inch wire to go to from the relay to the radio
- Solder and soldering iron
- Electrical tape
- Wire Cutters/Strippers and Crimpers

1. Align relays side by side (drill them to a piece of wood for better support)
2. connect the 6 four inch wires to the connectors
note- jump pin 85 from relay #1 to pin 87 on relay #2 and from pin 87 to pin 85 on relay #2. confusing i know. see diagram
3. connect the 2 five inch wires to the connectors
4. connect all connectors to relays (12 guage to pins 87 and 30 on relay #1)
5. cut starter wire in half and strip both ends
6. connect pin 87 from relay #1 to the key side of starter (solder and tape)
7. connect pin 30 from relay #1 to motor side of starter (solder and tape)
8. ground pins 86 from both relays
9. connect pin 30 on relay #2 to ignition
10. connect pin 85 on relay #2 to the amp turn on or power antenna turn on lead. make sure you wire the diode inbetween that wire
11. tape up your relays somewhere in the dash
NOTE: ****TO START YOUR CAR, TURN IT TO THE ON POISTION AND WAIT FOR THE RADIO TO TURN BACK ON. THEN START THE CAR.****
NOTE: ****IF YOU HOOKED YOUR WIRE UP TO THE POWER ANTENNA TURN ON, MAKE SURE YOU TURN IT TO YOUR AM/FM TUNER SELECTION.****
